FIELD REPACK SUMMARY

FIELD REPACK SUMMARY BOOKLET
Prior to your outage, Fluid Sealing Service conducts a valve survey (free) to identify all valves to be repacked during your next outage. During this pre-outage survey we collect data from each individual valve, its condition, location, if it's leaking, if the swing bolts or studs need replacement and enter it into our large valve repacking data base.
It is from this data base that all reports are generated and compiled into this booklet.

Yes, we can thoroughly clean out the stuffing box of any kind of sealant with our High Pressure Water Jet. We will also plug the injection holes before repacking.

What planning will we have to do?
Your only responsibility will be to provide us with a list of valves to repack. After that, we provide you with a detailed summary of the entire project, from planning, costs, scheduling, reporting, walk downs and start-up assistance. E-mail us for a copy of our Pre-Outage Repack Summary.

How many valves can you repack during an outage?
We can extract and repack 10 times as many valves during an outage compared to the traditional maintenance methods you now use.

What happens after the outage?
Because we guarantee the valves leak-free, we provide a monthly, semi-annually or annually gland follower adjustment check depending on the amount of valves we repack, the condition of the valves and the length of time between your outages. We make sure we correct a potential leak long before it becomes a leak. We will also notify you of leaking valves that need to be repacked during you next outage.

I don’t think valve stem leakage is costly or a problem for us.
Product leakage from valve stem packing over a year can be very costly. In terms of dollars and safety. We can provide you with a energy audit detailing product loss and the dollar loss over time.

Will you work with our maintenance crew?
Sure. We’re very flexible, we can either work with your crew or provide our turn-key crew. Either way, you’ll get more done for less money.

What kind of packing do you use?
This depends on the sealing medium, the system temperature and pressure, if it’s a manual or MOV/AOV and the condition of stem and box. Since we warranty the valve leak-free, we will only use high quality packings.

How can I be sure I’m making the right decision?
Our job is to make you feel confident in our abilities. We are highly skilled specialists providing a repack service that creates efficiencies and reliability. FSS is a technically competent professional company that has the experience, knowledge, products and ability to provide complete valve repacking systems with a performance warranty.
Now, that’s a statement that just about anybody could make, but Fluid Sealing Service is the only company that backs up that statement. We provide a written 5 Year Leak-Free Warranty (that includes labor and materials), a written Unconditional Workmanship Guarantee (we’ll refund up to 100% of labor charges for any employee that you feel is not qualified to do this work) and a written Customer Satisfaction Guarantee, all at a firm-hard price.
The major advantage of using our repack service is reliability. Not only in long term leak-free reliability but also the secure feeling of having an experienced and knowledgeable company on-site.
From our customers point of view: Simply put, it's price. When you compare the total costs of a valve repack job, from identifying repacks, extracting and repacking, to packing materials, no one does it for less, no even the customers personnel.

What types of valves do repack?
Virtually all styles and sizes, from globe to knifegate valves and everything in between. Hand, motor and air operated valves in all types of mediums.

Is this service expensive?
The total cost of our repack service will be thousands of dollars less than if it was done in-house. We have repacked thousands upon thousands of valves and we have the most productive and efficient repack system in the industry.
In addition to our productive craftsmen, no one can compete with the total cost of packing materials. Our system has been refined to the point where there is no packing waste, you pay for what only goes into the valve. There is no guess work, no unused spools of packing to buy, no waste from mis-cuts and no trips to the storeroom. Packing material costs are itemized for each individual valve in the Pre-Outage Repack Summary. And, since we guarantee the valve leak-free, we put only the highest quality packing into your valve.

Do you have a minimum for the number of valves you need to repack?
No. From one valve to thousands, you get the same service and guarantees.

Our water-jets remove the hardest, dried out, burnt, rock hard wire bound packings quickly and cleanly, without damage to valve stems or stuffing boxes.
Repacked with the highest quality packings, you pay for only what the valve takes, no expensive waste or unused spools to buy.
(call for your copy). In it you will find; an itemized firm-hard price that includes labor and packing materials, individual valve data, time-line schedule, company contacts, comparison of in-house and contractors cost, walk-down inspections, start-up assistance, written warranties and guarantees, certificate of insurance, safety program, repack history updates, and semi-annual inspection dates.
