ZERO EMISSIONS
The DCG seal has been designed to accept injected gas pressure directly between the faces. The outer coplanar seal face allows a minute amount of gas into the process fluid side. The unique design provide an effective positive barrier against any escape of process fluid to the atmosphere.

  • Fits smallest axial space available
  • Zero emissions
  • Low heat generation and low power consumption
  • Springs isolated from product - no clogging
  • Provides complete lift-off and zero wear
  • Prevents hang-up problems
  • Fits most popular ANSI pumps
  • Simple control panel
  • Low maintenance costs
  • Eliminates liquid barrier system
  • Extensively tested in laboratory and field conditions
  • Seal is designed for ease of installation

ENGINEERED FOR RELIABLE OPERATION
The DCG seal provides reliable sealing for abrasive, low lubricity and multiphase liquids because the gas flow effect creates a barrier that keeps harmful particles away from the seal faces. In the event of loss of gas pressure, the DCG is capable of full recovery once gas pressure has been re-established in non-abrasive and non-sticky fluids. Under a loss-of-gas condition, the seal will operate as a conventional contacting seal and will contain the process fluid with controlled leakage.

The most significant change in
seal design since the 70s.

Genesis I take mechanical seal technology
 into the next century!

The Genesis I is a new approach to cartridge-type mechanical seal design. It provides long-lasting reliability, easy installation and maintenance, at a remarkably low cost.
Designed for use with centrifugal pumps and other rotating equipment, the Genesis I makes installation easier, alignment automatic, and field refurbishment a matter of replacing a few readily available parts.
Available with carbon, tungsten carbide, or silicon carbide seal face materials, and with standard 316 stainless steel parts or other alloys as required, the Genesis I can be supplied as corrosion-resistant as necessary. Standard fluorocarbon O-rings provide a wide temperature tolerance range and chemical resistance.
Non-Clogging Springs
Springs used to maintain contact between the sealing faces are mounted outside the body of the seal, so there is no exposure to the product being pumped. Because of this configuration, these outboard springs (OBS) are virtually non-clogging and are visible for maintenance inspection. The stationary spring configuration improves face tracking and helps compensate for pump misalignment. Seat cushioning further helps to isolate the seal faces from harmonic and roto-dynamic vibrations.
Easy Installation
Genesis I is designed for ease of installation. The specially designed setting clips eliminate the need for seal adjustment at the time of installation. The clips secure the seal assembly in both axial and radial directions relative to the shaft and keep rotating and stationary parts in firm contact as well as concentric with the shaft.
The wearable, non-metallic setting clips may be rotated out of the way or left as is, and need not be removed, reducing installation time. Removable mounting brackets make the Genesis I easier to install, even in confined spaces.
Service parameters: 3600 rpm, 400 psi, 400oF,. Meets all ANSI and DIN standards. Available in shaft sizes from 1" to 6".

LIBERATOR
CARTRIDGE SEAL

The Liberator I cartridge seal (patented) incorporates advanced seal design features. Using a "ball" drive, the Liberator resists twisting and torsional strains common to pin or key drives. The thin cross-section allows the Liberator I to be used in ANSI pumps without modifications.

It employs a multi-crested wave spring which is a non-clogging spring isolated from the product for optimum corrosion resistance. Standard face materials are carbon vs. silicon carbide which together provide the highest PV rating of any face material combination. The rotating seat and spring loaded stationary accept higher shaft speeds, heavier viscosity fluids, and greater misalignment.

Aflas o-rings are standard in all Liberators giving them a broad range of chemical compatibility. The Liberator gland incorporates both vent and drain connections, a carbon throttle bushing, and provides two tangential flush ports for clockwise or counterclockwise pump rotation.

Available in shaft sizes from 1" to 4".

DOUBLE/TANDEM CARTRIDGE SEAL

Built In Pumping Ring

The Liberator II cartridge seal (patented) offers all of the design features of the Liberator I. In addition, it features two tangential outlet ports for clockwise or counterclockwise pump rotation. A pumping ring built in as a standard feature provides positive barrier fluid circulation.

The Liberator II is a double hydraulically balanced seal which allows it to be used as a double or tandem seal. In vertical installations, the secondary seal chamber is self-venting to insure proper lubrication of the secondary sealing faces. The barrier fluid at the secondary seal is on the O.D. of the sealing faces, which insures maximum heat dissipation.

MB-I
SINGLE METAL
BELLOWS CARTRIDGE

The compact and versatile MB-I can be used as either a stationary or rotating bellows seal. The MB-I is supplied in its standard configuration as a stationary bellows assembly. The mutually interchangeable bellows and seat allow easy, on-site conversion to a rotary bellows design.

The bellows design provides even distribution of load around the entire circumference of the seal face. In addition, the need for dynamic o-rings, with associated friction drag and wear, is eliminated. The extremely low mass of the face and bellows assembly improves tracking characteristics during operation.

The MB-I’s unique multi-ported flushing system uses a single gland connection that enters into an annular cavity. The flush medium flows around this cavity and exits through evenly spaced ports, traveling axially over the faces. This provides full 360o lubrication and cooling while protecting the faces from abrasive particles.

The MB-I fits ANSI pumps without modification. The MB-I is available in shaft sizes from 1" to 2.750".

MB-II

The unique MB-II can be operated as either a double or tandem seal, both of which are hydraulically balanced, making it one of the most versatile seals available. The dual stationary bellows assembly self adjusts for misalignment and reduces the potential for harmonic vibration. The extremely low mass of the face and bellows assembly improves face tracking characteristics during operation.

The buffer fluid is sealed on the O.D. of the outboard bellows. This prevents heat related problems resulting from air entrapment and dead fluid zones. Also, higher buffer fluid pressures are attainable. A radial flow pumping ring produces a high performance flow of buffer fluid for efficient cooling and helps prevent abrasives from settling in the seal cavity.

The MB-II fits ANSI pumps without modification. Available in shaft sizes from 1" to 2.750".
